Lifetime unit sales of the Nintendo Switch are now at 46.6 million, which makes it the second best-selling gaming hardware in US history, now ahead of PS2 and behind the Nintendo DS. Still, the PS2 has the Switch beat in worldwide sales, with 160 million vs 146 million.
With Switch sales officially slowing down, the public seems to be holding off for the Switch 2, which is set to be announced by March 2025.
Xbox Series X/S sales continue to be sluggish, with only 28 million sold worldwide.
