Votes from the 2015 MIFF People’s Choice Audience Awards are in and we are pleased to report Putuparri and the Rainmakers came in at # 3 in the list of the top ten most highly rated documentaries of the festival.

Opening night sold out


The opening night of Putuparri And The Rainmakers — screening at 6:30pm on Wednesday 5th August — has sold out. This is a fantastic result and we are looking forward to seeing everyone there on the night for the world premiere. World Premiere at Melbourne International Film Festival


Over twelve years in the making, Putuparri And The Rainmakers will make its world premiere at the 2015 Melbourne International Film Festival. As part of the festival’s Australian Showcase, the feature length documentary will open on Wednesday 5th August at 6:30pm at ACMI followed by a Q&A with director Nicole Ma.

Announced at this year’s CinefestOZ Film Festival, Putuparri And The Rainmakers has been nominated as a finalist for the festival’s top film prize. The winner will be awarded the nation’s richest prize of $100,000 for remarkable Australian feature filmmaking. The CinefestOZ Film Festival will be held between 26 – 30 August in Western Australia.
