Thanks for an Amazing Year!

As we approach the end of a huge year we want to say thank you to all our supporters for a wonderful 2015!

There have been so many highlights for the Putuparri and the Rainmakers team this year, including completing the film after its long journey, premiering at MIFF and introducing Tom Lawford and Bester to standing ovations, screening at CinéfestOZ in WA (and winning the 2015 film prize) and then best of all, starting to screen the film across the country to appreciative audiences.

We are also thrilled that two artworks featuring the sacred waterhole Kurtal have been honoured: Jukuja Dolly Snell won the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award and Tom Putuparri Lawford is a finalist in the 2016 Blake Prize for art “that challenges artists to engage in conversations relating to the religious and spiritual”.

We have exciting things planned for 2016, including bringing the film to places where it hasn’t yet screened, via the cinema on demand platform, Tugg. More details on that coming soon, but here is a taster.

Wishing you all the very best for a happy festive season and a relaxing holiday time and we look forward to seeing you in 2016.
